Kabasph series of additives is specifically developed for acrylic ester systems and is suitable for applications such as acrylic coatings, inks, adhesives, sealants, UV-curable systems, waterborne and solventborne formulations, and high-solids industrial systems. The product range covers four major categories—dispersants, anti-sinking thixotropic agents, defoamers, and tackifiers—providing a comprehensive additive solution for acrylic ester formulations. It addresses key challenges including organic pigment dispersion, inorganic filler wetting and viscosity reduction, colour stability, anti-settling and sag control, thixotropy improvement, foam control, and adhesion to metal and non-metal surfaces, while maintaining compatibility, storage stability, and final film or bond performance.

KabasphAcrylic ester systems are widely used in coatings, inks, adhesives, sealants, UV-curable, waterborne, solventborne, and high-solids applications where weather resistance, transparency, colour stability, and versatile curing are essential. However, formulating with these systems presents unique challenges: organic pigment dispersion and colour stability, inorganic filler wetting and viscosity reduction, settling and sagging, thixotropy control, foam generation that compromises film quality, and adhesion failure on metal and non-metal substrates. Additives must be carefully selected to maintain compatibility with the acrylic ester chemistry without adversely affecting storage stability, curing behaviour, transparency, colour, or final film properties.

Dispersants
l KBS-F8500 is a block copolymer dispersant designed for acrylic ester systems. It provides organic pigment dispersion with viscosity reduction and colour stability, making it suitable for high-quality pigmented acrylic coatings and inks where consistent colour and low viscosity are required.
l KBS-F8600 is an acid polyester compound dispersant. It delivers inorganic filler wetting and efficient viscosity reduction with excellent stability, making it suitable for highly filled acrylic ester systems where filler dispersion and long-term storage stability are critical.
Anti-sinking Thixotropic Agents
l KBS-C410K is an organic polyurea anti-sinking thixotropic agent. It has low impact on transparency, viscosity, storage stability, and curing activity, while providing excellent anti-sinking and thixotropic effects. It is suitable for acrylic ester systems requiring reliable rheology control without compromising optical clarity or reactivity.
l KBS-C6200 is a modified polyamide solution anti-sinking thixotropic agent. It improves thixotropy for acrylic systems in combination with hydrophilic aerosilicones, helping to prevent settling and sagging while maintaining processing and application properties.
l KBS-C7100 is an acid group copolymer solution anti-sinking thixotropic agent. It provides wetting and dispersing for inorganic fillers and effectively prevents the system from sinking. It is particularly useful in acrylic ester formulations with dense inorganic fillers where both dispersion and anti-settling performance are required.
Defoamers
l KBS-X052K is a polyacrylate non-silicone defoamer. It offers good compatibility and efficient defoaming performance, making it suitable for acrylic ester systems where silicone-free foam control is preferred.
l KBS-X053K is a non-silicone defoamer with better effect on PU systems. It provides reliable foam control and is suitable for acrylic ester formulations where compatibility with polyurethane-modified systems is required.
l KBS-X055K is a polyacrylate non-silicone defoamer. It delivers good compatibility and efficient defoaming performance, making it suitable for a broad range of acrylic ester coatings, inks, and adhesives.
Tackifiers
l KBS-T0100 is an amino-containing organosilane tackifier. It provides excellent adhesion to metallic and non-metallic surfaces, making it suitable for acrylic ester adhesives, sealants, and coatings where durable bonding to diverse substrates is required.
l KBS-T0200 is an epoxy-containing organosilane tackifier designed for acrylic ester systems. It is intended to improve adhesion to metal and non-metal substrates. Detailed technical characteristics are available upon request.
l KBS-T0300A is a polyester compound tackifier. It provides excellent adhesion to metal surfaces with modified flexibility, helping improve bonding performance in acrylic ester systems where both adhesion and flexibility are required.
Application Areas
Acrylic ester systems are widely used in applications requiring excellent weather resistance, transparency, colour stability, and versatile curing mechanisms. Typical application areas include:
l Coatings — Acrylic ester coatings for architectural, industrial, wood, plastic, metal, automotive, and concrete surfaces. These systems require good pigment and filler dispersion, anti-settling, levelling, and foam control.
l Inks — Acrylic ester inks for flexographic, gravure, screen, and inkjet printing. Organic pigment dispersion, colour stability, and efficient defoaming are essential for consistent print quality.
l Adhesives and Sealants — Acrylic ester adhesives and sealants for pressure-sensitive adhesives, structural bonding, construction, automotive, and general industrial applications. Additives help improve filler dispersion, rheology control, substrate wetting, and adhesion.
l UV-Curable Systems — UV-curable acrylic ester coatings, inks, and adhesives where rapid curing, colour stability, and compatibility with photoinitiators are required. Anti-settling and defoaming performance are critical for uniform films.
l Waterborne Systems — Waterborne acrylic ester coatings, inks, and adhesives where compatibility, foam control, and filler stability are key formulation challenges.
l Solventborne and High-Solids Systems — Solventborne and high-solids acrylic ester formulations for industrial maintenance, transportation, and protective applications. Dispersants and anti-settling agents help achieve stable, processable systems with high filler loading.
