Kabasph^@ KBS-4410 is a solvent-based polyurea thixotropic agent primarily designed for thickening, anti-settling, and anti-sagging applications. It is suitable for a wide range of solvent-based resin systems while maintaining the original gloss level. It serves as an excellent liquid alternative to traditional solid anti-settling agents such as fumed silica and bentonite. Our KBS-4410 is equivalent in performance to BYK410.

1. Excellent Anti-Settling and Anti-Sagging Performance

Outstanding Anti-Settling Effect

In epoxy/anhydride systems, the addition of only 2% effectively prevents the settling of yellow pigments.
Provides excellent pigment suspension, particularly for pearlescent pigments, in various resin systems including acrylic, alkyd, epoxy, and polyester.
In epoxy floor coatings, post-addition of 0.3% significantly improves anti-settling performance while reducing color variation, mottling, and joint color differences.

Strong Anti-Sagging Performance

Effectively increases viscosity and improves sag resistance in alkyd, polyester, epoxy, acrylic, and other resin systems, making it suitable for vertical applications.
In solvent-free epoxy systems, when used in combination with hydrophilic fumed silica (e.g., HX-200), it generates a pronounced thixotropic effect, providing excellent performance for vertical surface applications.

2. Minimal Impact on Coating Appearance

Negligible Effect on Gloss

Test results indicate that KBS-4410 has virtually no impact on the gloss of alkyd and Epoxy 128 resin systems.
Some gloss reduction may occur in acrylic and Epoxy 601 systems; however, the effect is comparable to that of leading imported competitive products.
It is also recommended for furniture coatings due to its minimal impact on leveling and gloss.
No Adverse Effect on Leveling
The three-dimensional network structure formed by KBS-4410 provides excellent thixotropic properties without compromising coating leveling performance.

Well-Defined Solvent Compatibility

Provides excellent thickening performance in medium- to low-polarity solvents such as xylene, n-butyl acetate, and PMA (propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate).
Exhibits little or no thickening effect in highly polar solvents such as ethanol and isopropanol, offering clear formulation guidance.

Es erzeugt ein hohes Maß an thixotroper Fließfähigkeit und verbessert die Anti-Ablauf- und Anti-Absetzeigenschaften. Dieses Additiv kann auch nachträglich zugegeben und auf Wasser, Wasser-Alkohol-Ether sowie Alkohol-Lösungsmittel-Mischsysteme angewendet werden.
